Commission proposes capital markets integration and supervision package

Commission establishes €1.5 billion Battery Booster Facility

Commission approves Holcim's acquisition of Xella conditional on plant divestment

Commission issues interim measures on Meta regarding WhatsApp and AI assistants

The company must reinstate free access to WhatsApp’s Business API for third-party general-purpose AI assistants, as existed prior to October 15, 2025. Regulation (EU) 2026/1184: New rules on the use of railway infrastructure capacity in the single European railway area

Regulation (EU) 2026/1184, adopted on May 20, 2026 and published June 10, 2026, establishes updated procedures for the allocation and management of railway infrastructure capacity across the single European railway area. The rules replace Regulation (EU) No 913/2010 and update provisions of Directive 2012/34/EU. The new framework introduces harmonised capacity allocation phases, formalises the European Network of Infrastructure Managers (ENIM), and enforces digital tools for cross-border traffic. The regulation applies to all domestic and international rail services and enters into force twenty days post-publication.

Decision (EU) 2026/1340: EU position on customs valuation and origin within the World Customs Organization

Council Decision (EU) 2026/1340, adopted June 4, 2026, sets the EU’s position in the World Customs Organization’s technical committees on Customs Valuation (TCCV) and Rules of Origin (TCRO.
