Definitive Countervailing Duties Extended for Glass Fibre Fabrics from China and Egypt
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1928 of 7 August 2026 renews the definitive countervailing duty on imports of certain woven and/or stitched glass fibre fabrics originating in the People’s Republic of China and the Arab Republic of Egypt, including those consigned via Morocco and Türkiye, following an expiry review under Article 18 of Regulation (EU) 2016/1037. The regulation maintains duties ranging from 10.9% (Egypt) to 30.7% (China) due to continued and likely future subsidisation. The measure considers substantial spare capacity, ongoing circumvention, and the Union market’s attractiveness.
Definitive Anti-dumping Duties Imposed on Terephthalic Acid Imports from Korea and Mexico
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1904 of 7 August 2026 sets definitive anti-dumping duties on terephthalic acid (TA) imports from the Republic of Korea and the United Mexican States, under Regulation (EU) 2016/1036. The duties apply as follows: 6.1% on Samnam Petrochemical Co., Ltd. and Hanwha Impact Corporation (Korea); 13.3% for all other Korean companies; and 24.1% for all Mexican exporters. The regulation confirms absence of undercutting but price suppression and injury found. Provisional duties already collected are made definitive. No retroactive collection is enforced.
Provisional Anti-dumping Duties on Silico-Manganese Steel Wire Imports from China
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1929 of 7 August 2026 establishes provisional anti-dumping duties of up to 102.4% on imports of certain wires of silico-manganese steel from the People’s Republic of China. The decision, under Article 7 of Regulation (EU) 2016/1036, follows evidence of dumped imports causing material injury to the EU industry. The duties apply to Yunhe (75.3%), Juli group (102.4%), and all others (102.4%). Investigation continues for definitive measures.
Amendment of Anti-dumping Duties on Chinese Fasteners—New Exporter Treatment
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1926, adopted 7 August 2026, amends Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/191 to grant new exporting producer status to Ningbo Orange Hardware Co., Ltd. from China, following their request and verification. The company is now subject to the 39.6% duty rate for cooperating companies not in the sample, under Regulation (EU) 2016/1036. Other rates remain unchanged.
