StatsCan Releases December Energy Transportation and Storage Data

Statistics Canada published the Monthly Energy Transportation and Storage Survey for December 2025, detailing the movement and storage of crude oil and liquid petroleum products. Utilities and power sector entities can review the dataset for figures on volumes transported by pipeline, rail, and marine modes, as well as storage inventories. The survey provides granular inputs that inform transmission planning and system reliability assessments at a national level. Data from the report serve as inputs for energy demand forecasting and infrastructure investment analyses. The figures are available through Statistics Canada's online portal as of February 20, 2026. Entities tracking regulatory compliance and market trends in logistics and storage will find this resource integral to near-term operational planning.
