- Senate Committee to Examine Federal Sustainable Development Strategy: On March 26, at 8:00 a.m., the Standing Senate Committee on Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources will discuss the 2026–2029 Federal Sustainable Development Strategy and the 2025 Progress Report on the 2030 Emissions Reduction Plan with the Office of the Auditor General.
- Senate Meeting on Newfoundland and Labrador’s Offshore Petroleum Industry: The Standing Senate Committee on Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources convenes March 24 at 6:30 p.m. in camera to consider the agenda for studying Newfoundland and Labrador’s offshore petroleum operations.

Minister Hodgson to Represent Canada at CERAWeek in Houston
Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Tim Hodgson is scheduled to lead Canada’s delegation at CERAWeek in Houston, Texas, from March 23 to 24, 2026. The program includes the Canada House Grand Opening, discussions on the Alberta natural gas sector, and a high-profile roundtable with industry leaders on 'Building Canada’s Energy Future'. Minister Hodgson is also slated to participate in a session titled 'Capital in Motion, Funding the Infrastructure Supercycle,' focusing on financing major infrastructure. Canadian power sector stakeholders can access a livestream of select events via Natural Resources Canada. The visit is expected to include exchanges with North American and international counterparts on topics such as grid modernization, clean power generation, and next-generation fuels.

Canada Advances Nuclear Cooperation and Defence Export Initiatives with Poland
