- House Education and Workforce Subcommittee Hearing: Strengthening Access Through Locum Tenens Providers: The Subcommittee on Workforce Protections will hold a hearing, 'On Call for America: Strengthening Access Through Locum Tenens Providers', on June 9 at 14:15 in Rayburn 2175. Witnesses include representatives from I4AW, CHG Healthcare, AI Now Institute, and Mercatus Center.
Legislative Updates
House Appropriations for Agriculture, Rural Development, FDA, and Related Agencies; Child Care, Higher Education Fraud, TANF Integrity Bills
H.R. 8646 addresses appropriations for Agriculture, Rural Development, and FDA for FY2027. H.R. 7726 amends the Child Care and Development Block Grant Act to enforce compliance. H.R. 7892 strengthens FAFSA identity fraud detection. H.R. 8872 targets integrity in Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF). The motion to reconsider was laid on the table and agreed to without objection.

Special Education Services for Deafblind and Disabled Youth
A bill was introduced to ensure high-quality special education services for children and youth who are blind, deaf, hard of hearing, deafdisabled, or deafblind, employing instructional methodologies tailored to specific learning needs. The bill was read twice and referred to the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee.
