The project aims to identify technology opportunities, research and development priorities, and investment pathways to advance geothermal development across the country. CDGC is coordinating the effort with Cascade Institute acting as Secretariat. The roadmap seeks to leverage Canadian drilling and subsurface engineering expertise, positioning Canada for next-generation geothermal projects and associated employment opportunities. The initiative is expected to outline how conventional and advanced geothermal systems can contribute reliable, affordable energy, supporting energy security and stable long-term costs.
