Provisional Anti-Dumping Duty on Silico-Manganese Steel Wires
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1929, adopted on 7 August 2026 and published in the Official Journal on 10 August 2026, imposes a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of certain wires of silico-manganese steel from the People’s Republic of China. The regulation follows an investigation initiated under Regulation (EU) 2016/1036 after complaints from ELBOR S.p.a., Electroda Zagreb d.d., Electro Portugal Lda., Italfil Spa, Multimet Sp. z o.o., S.I.A.T. Società Italiana Acciai Trafilati S.p.A., and Westfälische Drahtindustrie GmbH. The investigation identified significant government intervention and distortions affecting Chinese steel wire pricing and production, leading to dumping margins up to 102.4%. Provisional duties of 75.3% to 102.4% are set, applicable to specific companies as listed in the Commission Regulation.
