The CITT will announce by May 15 whether there is a reasonable indication of injury. The Special Import Measures Act (SIMA) provides the legal framework for these inquiries, which could impact importers and domestic manufacturers of electrical cables. Should evidence of dumping or subsidies emerge, CBSA’s preliminary determinations are due by June 12, 2026.
