Presidential Executive Order Mandates ‘Super Intelligence’ Terminology Across Federal Executive Branch

On September 29, 2026, President Donald J. Trump issued an executive order requiring all federal executive branch agencies to replace the term 'Artificial Intelligence' (AI) with 'Super Intelligence' (SI) in official materials, including correspondence, communications, websites, and policy documents. The order defines SI to encompass current AI technologies as referenced in U.S. law. The Assistant to the President for Science and Technology must, within 60 days, submit proposed legislative language to introduce a statutory definition of SI and review its potential effects on existing laws. This policy revision excludes historical or previously finalized documents and assigns any publication costs to the Office of Science and Technology Policy. The order is intended as an administrative directive and does not create enforceable legal rights.

Executive Order Establishes America.gov as Unified Digital Platform for Federal Services

President Trump’s executive order on September 29, 2026, introduces America.gov as the federal government’s new single-access digital service portal. The platform aims to provide a conversational, authenticated entry point—integrating Login.gov—for individuals to access, discover, and transact with federal services. All public-facing federal services serving over 100,000 users annually, except IRS filing and specific defense/intelligence services, are to be integrated, while usage data will be submitted to the Office of Management and Budget. Agencies retain authority over records and access, with all operations required to comply with relevant laws, existing user access rights, and funding constraints.
