UK Participation Terms in Erasmus+ Amended
On 27 August 2026, Decision No 1/2026 of the Specialised Committee on Participation in Union Programmes was published in the Official Journal (OJ L 2026/1962, CELEX: 32026D1962). The Decision, adopted on 15 April 2026, amends Protocol I to the Trade and Cooperation Agreement between the European Union, the European Atomic Energy Community, and the United Kingdom, adjusting the UK's financial contribution to the Erasmus+ Programme for the 2021-2027 multiannual financial framework. The Decision reaffirms mutual agreement on financial terms and sets provisions for future participation in successor programmes under the next financial framework. The amendments will apply from 1 January 2027.
Lebanon Joins PRIMA Research Initiative
Information published on 24 August 2026 (OJ L 2026/1951, CELEX: 32026X1951) confirms the entry into force of the EU-Lebanon agreement, amending terms for Lebanon's participation in the Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area (PRIMA). The updated agreement, signed on 8 December 2025, took effect on 17 June 2026. The arrangement supplements existing EU-Lebanon scientific and technological cooperation.
