- Canadian Heritage Committee: State of Creative and Performance Spaces: On June 9, the Canadian Heritage Committee will continue its study on the state of creative and performance spaces across Canada, hosting witnesses from theatre, music, and arts organizations.
- Senate National Finance Committee: Main Estimates Review – Food Safety and Transport: The Senate Committee on National Finance will meet on June 10 for in-camera review of the Main and Supplementary Estimates. Session includes witness testimony from Canadian Food Inspection Agency, Health Canada, VIA Rail, and Transport Canada.
- Senate Transport and Communications Committee: Impact of Fuel Excise Tax Suspension on Airfares: June 10 will see the Senate Transport and Communications Committee hear from John Weatherill of WestJet regarding the suspension of federal fuel excise tax on aviation fuels and associated impacts on passenger airfares.

Canada Publishes Accessible Service Delivery Standard ASC-5.2.1
Accessibility Standards Canada announced the release of ASC-5.2.1: Accessible Service Delivery on June 1, consolidating requirements for accessible services under a single national standard. Key provisions require organizations to offer services in multiple accessible formats, use plain language, meet individual needs promptly, and involve people with disabilities in designing services. Staff training and protocols for service disruptions are also mandated. The standard was finalized following broad public review during National AccessAbility Week, and it was developed largely by technical committee members from disability and equity-deserving communities. It introduces structured requirements expected to affect guest interactions, operational training, and digital/physical touchpoints throughout organizations serving the public.

Federal Government Allocates $16 Million for Highway Upgrades in Kootenay National Park
On June 1, Minister Julie Dabrusin announced a $16 million investment to upgrade Highway 93 South through Kootenay National Park, focusing on key areas around Sinclair Canyon and the Village of Radium Hot Springs. Projects include rehabilitating the Sinclair Canyon Bridge, repairing retaining walls, and addressing issues in the Sinclair Creek Rock Tunnel. Minister Launches National AccessAbility Week Funding for Inclusion Initiatives
