- House Status of Women Committee: Labour Force Impacts of Menopause and Perimenopause Study Scheduled: On June 11, the Status of Women Committee will meet from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. to examine the labour force impacts of menopause and perimenopause, with witnesses from Toronto Metropolitan University, Women's Health Collective Canada, Purity Life Health Products LP, and Menovate.
- House Status of Women Committee: Women's Shelters and Menopause Workforce Study: On June 9, the committee will review the role and capacity of women's shelters and transitional housing at 11:00 a.m., followed by a session on the labour force impacts of menopause and perimenopause at noon, with witnesses representing shelter organizations, hospitals, and the Menopause Foundation of Canada.
- Veterans Affairs Committee: Contract Rehabilitation Service Monitoring Meeting: Scheduled for June 8, Veterans Affairs will discuss the monitoring of the rehabilitation services contract awarded to PCVRS, with testimony from individuals and Lifemark Health Group, at noon.
- Finance Committee Reviews Spring Economic Update Implementation Bill: On June 8, from 3:30 p.m. to 11:59 p.m., the Finance Committee examines Bill C-30, the spring economic update, with witnesses from Health, Employment, Finance, Transport, and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
- Senate Social Affairs, Science, and Technology Committee on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder: The committee will meet on June 10 to review Bill S-234, a national framework for fetal alcohol spectrum disorder, with panels including senators, the Canada FASD Research Network, and federal health officials.

Federal Government Expands Oral Health Access With Mobile Clinics for Francophone Communities
On June 2, the Honourable Mona Fortier, on behalf of the Minister of Health, Marjorie Michel, announced more than $1.6 million in funding for Collège La Cité to establish a mobile dental clinic serving French-speaking seniors and children, alongside infrastructure for neurodivergent youth. Part of the Oral Health Access Fund (OHAF), the initiative aims to address oral health gaps in Francophone, Northern, Indigenous, and other underserved communities. This funding accompanies the broader Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), which now covers over 6.5 million Canadians, including 2.7 million in Ontario alone. The application period for the 2026-27 benefit year is now open, allowing new and late applicants to seek coverage.

Parliament Tables Canada's First National Strategy for Eye Care

New Horizons for Seniors Program Doubles Grant Maximum, Opens 2026–27 Call for Community Proposals
Secretary of State for Seniors Stephanie McLean launched the 2026–27 call for proposals under the New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP) on June 2. Accessibility Standards Canada issued ASC-5.2.1: Accessible Service Delivery on June 1, consolidating requirements for organizations to provide services in accessible, understandable formats. The standard mandates multiple pathways for service access, responsive support for individual needs, plain language communication, staff training, and contingencies for service disruption. Developed by a technical committee predominantly comprising people with disabilities, the ASC-5.2.1 standard is designed to be broadly applicable and followed public input during the review period.

Federal Government Launches Call for Proposals to Promote Accessibility and Disability Inclusion
To mark National AccessAbility Week, Minister Patty Hajdu announced a new $3.6 million, multi-year call for proposals under the Accessible Canada Fund. Up to 20 projects advancing the implementation of the Accessible Canada Act via awareness activities will be funded, including reducing stigma and sharing best practices within the disability community. Federal Funding and Infrastructure Agreement With Quebec Targets Health Facilities

Work Potential and Overqualification Among Canadians With Disabilities Confirmed by StatsCan
