Renewal of Agency Information Collection Activities: Submission for OMB Review; Containerized Freight Statistics-Imports and Exports; 3072-0074

The Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) is requesting Office of Management and Budget approval to extend and revise monthly information collection for containerized freight statistics covering imports and exports, as mandated by OSRA 2022. The FMC will collect data from the largest 30 vessel-operating common carriers, representing 98% of containerized U.S. international commerce, to meet quarterly reporting requirements outlined in 46 U.S.C. 41110. Public comments on accuracy, necessity, utility, and burden are invited through Regulations.gov (docket FMC-2026-0067) or Reginfo.gov by June 26, 2026. Previously, a comment from Gnosis Freight was deemed outside OSRA 2022 scope and possibly burdensome. Estimated annual respondent burden is 2,401 hours.

Shipping Safety Fairways and Associated Vessel Routing Measures Along the Atlantic Coast

The U.S. Coast Guard will host public and virtual meetings in early June concerning the draft Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement for establishing shipping safety fairways and vessel routing measures from the U.S.-Canada border in the Gulf of Maine to Miami, FL. Meetings will take place in Bangor (June 9), Groton (June 11), Salisbury (June 17), and virtually (June 10, June 15). Written comments are due by June 22, 2026. The proposal incorporates previously published NPRM and ANPRM measures for Long Island–Florida, Gulf of Maine, and a potential Southeast Zone off South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.

Freight Rail Couplers and Parts Thereof From Czech Republic and India; Scheduling of the Final Phase of Countervailing Duty and Antidumping Duty Investigations

The U.S. International Trade Commission is scheduling the final phase of the antidumping and countervailing duty investigations into freight rail couplers and parts from Czech Republic and India, following affirmative Commerce preliminary determinations. Petitions were filed by the Coalition of Freight Coupler Producers and United Steelworkers. Hearings are set for September 15, 2026, with briefs due September 8 and final comments by October 14. The scope includes knuckles, coupler bodies, and related parts, as defined by Commerce.

Agency Information Collection Activities: Notice of Request for Reinstatement of a Previously Approved Information Collection

The Federal Highway Administration seeks public comment by June 29, 2026, on reinstating its information collection for the Advanced Transportation Technology and Innovation (ATTAIN) Program. The ATTAIN grants focus on deploying technologies that improve safety, mobility, efficiency, and connectivity. The collection affects 120 applicants for the application phase and a pool of 65 grant recipients for ongoing reporting, with a total annual burden estimated at 14,200 hours.

Agency Information Collection Activity Under OMB Review: State of Good Repair Program

The Federal Transit Administration requests OMB approval for continued information collection under the State of Good Repair Grants Program for urban transit authorities and other eligible entities. The program supports maintenance, replacement, and rehabilitation of public transportation assets according to Transit Asset Management plans. About 68 respondents are expected annually, with an estimated burden of 13,729 hours for 1,097 responses.

Agency Information Collection Activity Under OMB Review: Buses and Bus Facilities Formula and Competitive Programs and Low or No Emission Program

The Federal Transit Administration seeks OMB approval for ongoing information collection on its three bus-related programs: Buses and Bus Facilities Formula Grant Program, Competitive Grant Program, and Low or No Emission Grant Program. Data are collected from state and local transit agencies for monitoring grant activities, project progress, technical specifications, and compliance. Annually, 1,035 respondents submit 1,035 responses with a total estimated burden of 56,734 hours.

Data Security Requirements for Accessing Confidential Data; Agency Information Collection Activities: Comment Request

The Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) is requesting OMB clearance for information collection related to data security requirements when granting access to confidential data assets via the Standard Application Process Portal, as mandated by the Evidence Act. Approved applicants must comply with BTS security protocols before receiving access. BTS estimates it will process five applications annually, with an average annual burden of 7.5 hours.

Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR): Clarification of Filing Requirements Regarding In-Transit Shipments and Other FTR Provisions; Correction

The Census Bureau published a final rule effective May 26, 2026, correcting duplicative and erroneous text in Foreign Trade Regulations regarding Electronic Export Information and entry numbers for goods placed in warehousing or foreign trade zones. Prior notice and public participation requirements were waived given the non-substantive corrections, approved by George M. Cook. Authority for amendments arises from Title 13 U.S.C. 301-307 and related statutes.

Agency Information Collection Activities: Comment Request

The Department of Transportation's Office of the Secretary is seeking comments by June 22, 2026, on its renewal request for information collection under the DOT Technical Assistance PRA, supporting grant programs like the Asset Concession and Innovative Finance Assistance Program and the Rural and Tribal Assistance Pilot Program. The respondent universe is estimated at 800, with annual burden totaling 16,700 hours.
