Commission updates risk assessment framework for real estate exposures
Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/807, published on 7 July 2026, amends Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023/206 following changes to Regulation (EU) No 575/2013. The update aligns references and terminology with Regulation (EU) 2024/1623, clarifying new treatment of immovable property risk weights and LGD input floor values in banking supervision. The regulation covers methodologies for authorities to assess appropriate risk weights, the use of margin of prudence, and data sources for retail exposures secured by immovable property. The amendments are based on EBA technical standards and take effect across Member States 20 days after publication.
Rules set for urban mobility data reporting under TENtec
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1554 of 9 July 2026 sets out methodologies and procedures for urban mobility data submission under Regulation (EU) 2024/1679. Member States must report mobility, safety, and accessibility indicators by 31 December 2027 and in subsequent four-year cycles, using the TENtec system and LAU codes as geographical units. The regulation specifies definitions, reporting frequencies, and provisions for data quality and updates. The first LAU code submission is due by 31 December 2026.
EU-Canada procurement agreement enters into force
The EU-Canada agreement on procurement under the Safe Instrument takes effect on 1 August 2026, as announced in the Official Journal on 10 July 2026 (OJ L 2026/1699). The accord determines conditions for access by Canadian entities and products to EU public procurement procedures.
