FEMM Opinion: AgoraEU Programme 2028-2034
The Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality (FEMM) issued an opinion on 29 June 2026 regarding the proposal for a regulation establishing the 'AgoraEU' programme for 2028-2034, which will repeal Regulations (EU) 2021/692 and (EU) 2021/818. Rapporteur Mélissa Camara reviewed the draft and assessed the gender equality dimensions relevant to the future funding framework for media, creative industries, and cultural initiatives. The opinion addresses provisions for inclusiveness and gender balance within project eligibility and implementation. The draft regulation seeks to adapt EU support frameworks for the upcoming budget period, with implications for all creative and cultural sectors.
FEMM Draft Opinion: Vocational Education and Training
On 1 July 2026, FEMM published a draft opinion on the topic 'boosting skills in the Union – opportunities for vocational education and training in times of transition.' Rapporteur Lina Gálvez outlined links between skills development and supporting participation of women in creative, media, and cultural industries. The opinion identifies potential priorities for integrating gender perspectives into EU vocational training policies, particularly for sectors impacted by digital and green transitions.
