General Court Sets New Rules for Broadcasting Judicial Hearings
The General Court adopted Decision 2026/1349 on 29 April 2026 regarding the broadcasting of hearings of oral argument and the delivery of judgments or Opinions. The rules were published in the Official Journal L of 22 June 2026 (CELEX: 32026X1349), repealing the earlier decision of 5 February 2025. Hearings and deliveries will now be streamed via the Court of Justice of the European Union's website, with arrangements for both live and delayed broadcasting and requirements to inform participating parties. Technical processes and access details are specified and data protection measures established. Video recordings will be subject to copyright restrictions and maintained for archiving.

IMCO Holds Hearing on Protection of Minors Online in the Single Market
The Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO) held a public hearing on 24 June 2026 concerning the protection of children using online platforms. IMCO Committee Reviews Digital Legislative Framework—Digital Omnibus Draft Report
On 22 June 2026, the ITRE committee circulated a draft report on the proposal to amend several regulations and directives, including (EU) 2016/679, (EU) 2018/1724, and (EU) 2023/2854, to simplify the digital legislative framework (Digital Omnibus). Rapporteur Aura Salla detailed provisions for repealing outdated legal acts, streamlining reporting, and digital harmonisation across Member States. The report will inform ongoing committee negotiations concerning the regulatory future of digital activities in the EU.
