The Canadian government has introduced new regulations to reduce volatile organic compound emissions during the storage and loading of volatile petroleum liquids, impacting small businesses. The regulations, published in the Canada Gazette, Part II, outline equipment requirements for facilities based on their size and emissions risk. Notably, the regulations allow smaller facilities to use cost-effective measures like vapor combustion to control emissions.
