Tribunal Continues Anti-dumping Order on Silicon Metal from China

On April 30, 2025, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal confirmed the continuation of its order regarding the dumping and subsidizing of silicon metal from China, covering silicon metal containing at least 96.00% but less than 99.99% silicon by weight, as well as those containing between 89.00% and 96.00% silicon by weight with aluminum greater than 0.20%. The expiry of the previous order was determined likely to result in injury to Canadian industry.
