Canadian Armed Forces Participate in 80th Anniversary of Netherlands Liberation
A Government of Canada delegation, including over 20 Second World War veterans and Canadian Armed Forces members, is traveling to the Netherlands between late April and May 7, 2025, for commemorative events marking the 80th anniversary of the country's liberation. Activities include a co-hosted ceremony at Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery on May 2 and a Canada House Pavilion in Apeldoorn from May 2–5. The events reinforce historic defence ties and ongoing military cooperation between Canada and the Netherlands.
