AgriStability Program Enrolment Deadline Extended Amid Market Disruptions
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada announced an extension of the 2025 AgriStability program enrolment deadline from April 30 to July 31, 2025, for producers in Manitoba. The measure, taken in coordination with provincial and territorial governments, responds to tariffs affecting the agriculture sector and is intended to allow producers additional time to manage income risk under current market conditions. The AgriStability program, part of the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership, provides financial assistance to farm businesses experiencing significant margin declines. Producers are encouraged to review available business risk management programs through the Manitoba Agricultural Services Corporation (MASC).

Saskatchewan Extends AgriStability Deadline to July 31, 2025
Saskatchewan Agriculture Minister Daryl Harrison, alongside federal, provincial, and territorial partners, announced the extension of the AgriStability program enrolment deadline for the 2025 program year to July 31, 2025, without penalty. The extension covers the existing program, as proposed changes are still under consideration. The margin-based structure of AgriStability is designed to support producers facing rising input costs and market price fluctuations, including those linked to tariffs. Saskatchewan producers received over $565 million in benefit payments over the past six years. The Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Corporation continues to assist producers with enrolment.
